Information to help guests understand the physical, sensory and practical features of our venue and experiences before booking.
Paralysis Horror Escape Rooms aims to make its experiences as accessible as reasonably possible while recognising that the physical layout and horror nature of individual rooms may create limitations for some guests.
If you have an accessibility requirement, medical condition or concern about taking part, please contact us before booking so we can discuss the relevant experience with you.
1. Venue accessibility
Accessibility varies between different parts of the venue and between individual escape room experiences.
Some areas may contain stairs, steps, narrow passages, confined spaces, low ceilings or other physical restrictions.
Please contact us before booking if you require step-free access, use a wheelchair or mobility aid, or have another mobility requirement.
2. Lighting and visual effects
Our horror experiences may include darkness, low lighting, flashing or sudden lighting effects and changes in visibility.
If you have epilepsy, photosensitivity or another condition that may be affected by lighting effects, please contact us before booking.
3. Sound and sensory effects
Experiences may include loud music, sudden noises, alarms, sound effects, jump scares and other intense sensory elements.
Some guests with sensory sensitivities may find these elements difficult or uncomfortable.
We can explain the general nature of an experience before you book so you can decide whether it is suitable.
4. Live actors
Some Paralysis experiences include live actors.
Our actors do not intentionally touch players and there is no chasing during the normal experience.
Their presence may still involve sudden appearances, close proximity, loud noises or jump scares.
5. Leaving the experience
Guests are not physically locked inside our escape rooms and may leave an experience at any time.
Exit procedures and safety information will be explained during the pre-game briefing.
6. Pregnancy and medical conditions
Guests who are pregnant or who have a medical condition should consider the nature of the experience before taking part.
Horror experiences can involve sudden scares, darkness, loud noises, stress, movement and confined environments.
If you are unsure whether an experience is suitable for you, please contact us before booking.
7. Assistance and reasonable adjustments
Where reasonably possible, we will discuss adjustments that may help a guest access or participate in an experience.
Whether a particular adjustment is possible will depend on the room, safety requirements, the physical environment and the nature of the requested adjustment.
Contacting us before booking gives us the best opportunity to explain what is available and discuss suitable options.
8. Website accessibility
We aim to make our website usable on modern desktop and mobile devices and to provide clear navigation, readable content and appropriately labelled controls.
We continue to review the website as it develops and may make further accessibility improvements over time.
